In celebration of Read Across America, first grade students participated in Dr. Seuss STEM stations. Students chose from a variety of stations that focused on Dr. Seuss books and characters. So Fun!
Students turned Sphero into an animal and tried to collect food, water, shelter, and air (the needs of an animal). They had to be careful though....the x's represented danger for the animal!
Thank you to all the teachers who conducted experiments with their classes! They looked fantastic! It was so exciting to have students in grades K-2 display individual projects at the science fair! Please be sure to check out the K-1 class projects at STEM night on Thursday, January 24th. First graders followed the scientific method to create a way to quiet a jingle bell. Tissue paper was the winner! It was fun to team with students around the world for the Hour of Code! First graders worked their way through Ice Age and Star Wars levels by creating code. Check out code.org to continue the fun at home!
